Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions? We've got answers. If you can't find what you're looking for, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Do you offer free measure and quotes?
Yes — our measure and quote service is completely free with no obligation. We can come to you for an in-home appointment across the Central Coast, or you're welcome to visit our showroom at 1/217 The Entrance Road, Erina. We'll measure your windows, walk you through the options that suit your home and budget, and provide a detailed written quote.
What payment options do you offer?
Because every shutter, blind and drape is custom-made for your home, payment is in three parts: a 50% deposit to confirm your order, 25% when your order arrives in our showroom so installation can be scheduled, and the balance on installation day. At Central Coast Shutters, you can also buy now and pay it in 4 interest-free instalments over 6 weeks with Afterpay.* We'll confirm the amounts on your written quote.
What is the difference between PVC and Timber shutters?
PVC (polymer) shutters are an easy-care, practical choice for coastal homes, bathrooms, laundries and kitchens. Timber shutters — made from Paulownia — are lighter, slightly warmer in appearance, and suit living areas and bedrooms. Timber is the premium choice for a painted or stained finish; PVC is the practical choice for anywhere near water. We'll help you choose the right material for each room during your measure and quote.
How long does it take from order to installation?
Every shutter, blind and drape is custom-made to order. Manufacturing times are steady, but shipping times can change from shipment to shipment, so we don't quote a fixed delivery date upfront. We'll give you an estimated timeframe when you place your order, let you know as soon as your order arrives in our showroom, and then book your installation. We also keep you updated throughout the process so you're never left wondering.
Do you install shutters in wet areas like bathrooms?
Yes — our PVC polymer shutters are a practical, easy-care choice for wet areas like bathrooms, laundries and kitchens. They're easy to wipe down and a popular choice for Central Coast homes.
What warranty do you offer?
Your shutters, blinds and drapes are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, which varies by product: up to a lifetime (the reasonable service life of the product) on selected PVC shutters, 5 years on timber shutters and 10 years on external aluminium shutters. We confirm the warranty for your products on your written quote. Warranties apply once your invoice is paid in full, as set out in our Terms & Conditions. We also provide a Care & Maintenance guide with every completed job.
What areas on the Central Coast do you service?
We service the entire Central Coast region of NSW — from Gosford and Erina through to Terrigal, Avoca, Matcham, Wamberal, The Entrance, Woy Woy, Umina, Killarney Vale, MacMasters Beach, Copacabana and everywhere in between. If you're on the Central Coast, we come to you. Contact us to book a free in-home measure and quote.
Can I see samples before I decide?
Absolutely. Our showroom at 1/217 The Entrance Road, Erina carries a comprehensive range of shutters, blinds and curtains to suit every budget and family home, so you can see and feel the materials before committing. We also bring samples to in-home appointments so you can view them in your own light and against your existing colours and finishes. Seeing a sample in your home makes a big difference — colours and textures look different under natural light than they do in a showroom.
Are your installers qualified?
Every job is overseen by our director, Brendan Hunt, a qualified carpenter and joiner with over 20 years' experience on the Central Coast. Brendan leads every consultation and oversees installation quality, and our installers work to our standards for site behaviour and finish. We're a family-run business, and our reputation is built on the quality of every job.
